Static Shift M&E Engineer – £45,000 – Cambridge
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £45,000 + Great Package, Overtime & Progression
Shifts: 4 on 4 off / 7 to 7 / Days & Nights
My client is currently recruiting for an Experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (Multiskilled knowledge) to work in one of their critical sites based in Cambridge. The successful candidate will ensure all conditions are always maintained with regard to critical building systems. You must be able to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the site.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
- Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
- Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
- Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
- Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works
- Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
- Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment.
- Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI’s/SLA’s.
Requirements
- Training Formally trained in mechanical or electrical maintenance
- Experience of maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria.
- Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures.
- Working knowledge of building services systems/ maintenance schedules.
