CTR Construction is recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major heavy civils and marine infrastructure project in Essex.
This is a long-term, flagship scheme for with works already underway and running through to July 2027. The role has become available due to an internal move, with a strong and stable order book in place.
About the role:
You’ll be commercially responsible for one major project valued at £160m, working as part of a site-based commercial team of 5–6 people and reporting directly into the Commercial Manager. The role requires someone hands-on, delivery-focused, and confident operating in a heavy civils environment.

Working arrangement:
- Initially site-based full time
- Once established, flexible working available (up to 2 days per week from home)
Requirements:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor
- Strong heavy civils background
- A hands-on, delivery-driven approach
- Able to work autonomously within a large project team
- Ideally qualified, but strong experience considered equally
- Experience with COINS and client collaboration platforms beneficial
About the project:
A high-profile extension to the DP World London Gateway port. The scheme has been live for several years with a well-established site team and strong forward workload.
