CTR Construction is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor & Estimator to join a specialist contractor delivering works within airport environments across the South East.
This is a key hire for the business, as there is currently no in-house Surveyor, with all commercial duties previously handled by Directors. The successful candidate will take ownership of both surveying and estimating functions.
About the role:
You’ll manage the commercial aspects of refurbishment, fit-out, and maintenance contracts within secure airport settings. Works include electrical and fabric maintenance, passive fire protection, and general refurbishment packages, with project values typically up to £1m.
The role suits someone commercially sound and well-rounded rather than a senior-level QS — strong industry knowledge is more important than job title.

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Project Values: Up to £1m
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or Estimator
- Strong working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
- Experience within maintenance, fit-out, or refurb environments
- Comfortable operating as the sole commercial lead
- Organised, reliable, and confident liaising with Directors and clients
- Airport or secure-site experience beneficial but not essential
