CTR Construction is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established groundworks and civil engineering contractor based in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing commercial team delivering residential infrastructure and housebuilding projects across the South.
About the role:
You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of multiple groundworks and civils schemes, including procurement, measurements, valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts. You’ll work closely with site and operational teams across a busy workload of live projects.

Location: Southampton
️ Projects: Aggregates, Groundworks, Civils & Drainage (Housebuilding)
Salary: £50,000+ (depending on experience)
Hours: 7:30am–4:30pm or 8:00am–5:00pm (45-hour week)
Requirements:

Strong experience in groundworks / civils or residential infrastructure

Ability to commercially manage multiple concurrent projects

Confident with measurements, valuations, CVRs, and subcontract accounts

Strong Excel skills; procurement experience beneficial

Reliable, proactive, and able to work within a fast-paced environment
