CTR Construction is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering / water works contractor based in Kent. This is a strong opportunity to step into a senior commercial role with genuine progression, as the business continues to expand its workload across the South East.
About the role:
You’ll be managing the commercial aspects of multiple water infrastructure projects, including the installation of water mains and underground pipework. Current live works are primarily for Clancy, with additional major frameworks secured for 2026. Project values typically range from £1m to £4m, with a forward workload of circa £33m.
There is also a clear opportunity for this role to build and lead a small commercial team, including Assistant QS support.

Location: Office based (Kent) with occasional site visits

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 per annum
Package: Car allowance
Hours: 7:30am – 5:00pm
Project Values: £1m – £4m (significant growth pipeline)
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor

Civils or utilities background preferred but not essential

Ability to price works and manage projects commercially

Confident using Bluebeam and Excel

Time-served or formally qualified candidates considered

Reliable, organised, and capable of working closely with senior management
