CTR Construction is recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established groundworks contractor based in Hampshire. This is a great opportunity to join a family-run business with a clear path to grow into a dedicated surveying role, with full on-the-job training and support.
About the role:
You’ll assist with commercial duties across a variety of groundworks projects, including new builds for smaller developers, bespoke high-end renovations, and some commercial schemes. Typical project values are around £1m, with occasional jobs reaching £2m.
You’ll be office-based, working closely with the Director, an in-house Estimator/Surveyor, and the wider operational and admin team.

Salary: £26,000 to £32,000
Hours: 40-hour week
Project Values: Typically £1m, up to £2m
Team Structure:
- Director
- Estimator/Surveyor (covers most QS work currently)
- Recently qualified Site Manager assisting with QS & estimating
- Additional SM, procurement admin, finance & HR support
Requirements:
- Some construction or QS experience (any sector) – groundworks experience advantageous
- Interested in the commercial side and “dealing with money”
- Strong communication, organisation, and attention to detail
