CTR Construction is recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a growing Main Contractor based in Kent, with a planned start in April.
This role is suited to a hands-on, site-focused Contracts Manager who leads from the front, supports project and site teams, and brings the right attitude to a collaborative, no-politics working environment.
About the role:
You’ll be overseeing multiple live projects, supporting Site Managers and Project Managers, managing programmes and budgets, and acting as a key link between site, commercial, and client teams. This is very much a boots-on-the-ground role, requiring strong leadership, organisation, and people skills.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ current experience with a Main Contractor
- Proven experience managing live construction projects
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Team player with a positive, professional attitude
- Able to manage different personalities on site
- Confident dealing with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing construction programmes (experience with ASTA & MSP preferred)
- Weekly progress tracking and reporting with Project Leads
- Developing and presenting project proposals
- Attending and leading client progress meetings
- Supporting monthly progress reporting
- Drafting and reviewing subcontract orders with site and commercial teams
- Agreeing budgets and programmes with clients and delivering against them
- Managing construction programmes and budgets proactively
- Resolving delays or cost issues efficiently
- Regular supply chain liaison to maintain programme and H&S compliance
- Attending site and weekly site meetings as required
- Acting as main point of contact and support for Site & Project Managers
- Coordinating works with subcontractors and in-house trades
- Ensuring QA standards, H&S compliance, and company procedures are met
- Ensuring short-term look-ahead programmes align with overall construction programmes
